There are several great restaurants within walking distance of The Chautauqua, unlike Vilano or Cresent beach where you are pretty isolated. Just 2 doors down on the Ocean is the Beachcomber. Best Fish Taco in the world. At the end of the street are 4 restaurants. One is BQ with live music and a swimming pool for the children. Mango is upscale. Plus an inexpensive Mexican and Vegitarian in the Surf Shop. A short few block drive in the car gives an almost endless list. Sunset Grill is my favorite. Try the Tuna in Wasabi. Amazing. There is the Oasis, a famous Sports Bar. The Conch House, with live music outside and boat rentals on the Intracoastal. Cafe 11 for has gourmet coffee to go and live music (sometimes w/cover charge). Too many to list and all wonderful. There is no need to drive to St Augustine for dinner but you should do it one night. Taxi service makes it fun and convenient.
