The Chautauqua starts with the Great room - 24 foot long – which acts as the main focal point. We kept the original 1926 quarried Coquina fireplace. It is Real Coquina - Just like the Fort you will see in Old St Augustine! (We are still looking for someone to restore it). The Bead board wainscoted is also original, carefully removed & refinished from the original walls. The floors are Heart of Pine. They don’t even grow wood like that any more. The stairs and loft are Brazilian Cherry. The windows are cased in specially milled period trim. Even the interior doors, all 8 foot, were patterned after the originals. It has 3 comfortable Leather Couches around the TV ENTERTAINMENT CENTER with WIRELESS INTERNET - a MUSIC CENTER with PIANO & Guitar – a LARGE DINING table  – a Powder Room – lots of Wall Sconces - and Wonderful OCEAN VIEWS.

A state of the art Gourmet Kitchen. Full wood Cherry, Mission cabinets with tumbled marble backsplash and gorgeous sea scape metallic tile accents. The most unusual Granite I had ever seen. It is wonderful. Looks like sand.  

Honed Chisel-edged Stone floors. Microwave. Dishwasher. Full array of cooking tools, dishes, pots and pans, Wine glasses, Crock Pot, Elec Skillet, Coffee maker, Toaster. Large Laundry room with ironing facilities.

There's a huge Dining Table with benches plus 4 stools at the counter. Easily seats 14. Two outdoor Dining Tables and one on the Balcony. Plenty of seating for all. Folding chairs and Highchair if needed.

You have to have a Piano at a beach house. It was my Grandmothers. There is a Guitars and a xylophone too. Just imagine the hours of fun. 

There are 3 bedrooms with private baths and 1 that shares the Powder room and Upstairs Loft Bath.  See the Bedroom Section for details on each.  All have Queen size beds and top quality linens.  You'll be provided all the Bath towels and Beach towels you will need.  All you need is a touth brush.

Brazilian Cherry Stairs lead to the Loft with Pool Table, Seating, Wet Bar and Sleeping Berths.

As good as the main level is, most would agree that the LOFT is the show place of it all. Running the entire length of the house. With Brazilian Cherry floors and wainscot, it was designed to resemble a ship’s cabin. There is a second built-in Entertainment Center with comfortable leather recliner.  Lots of Games and a Library of Books.

There is a Full Size Pool Table with Railing designed to hold your glass during the game.

A full Loft WET BAR with antique corner sink, frig and extra microwave. Great for late night popcorn.  

Whereas the adults will enjoy the loft, it was really made for the children and it’s the SLEEPING BERTHS they will be fighting over. There are 4 in all.  Compartments built into the walls, like a ship.  Complete with individual reading lights, TVs with DVD Players and under bed Storage Drawers for all their “stuff”. There are 3 singles and 1 double that serves double duty as a play area with hidden storage compartment. 

The VIEW IS UNSURPASSED from the 3rd story covered porch recessed into the house for sun and wind protection. Explore the craters on the moon  (telescope provided). 

The Teak Table and Chair provide a great place to watch the waves and enjoy one of the many Board Games at The Chautauqua.

Relax in on the the Sling Back chairs and take a nap in the ocean breeze. 

Out doors is where you will want to be. Back on the Main Level there is a Covered porch running the entire width of the house. Some consider it their favorite spot.LOTS of seating - All Teak. Rockers, Adirondacks, benches, 2 sets of table and chairs.

Nice grassy front yard with large patio for hop scotch.  Gas Grill. Outdoor Shower. Even a Hammock under the Palm.

The Main House has THREE spots, one in the garage to the left and 2 on the cobblestone drive way.  If you rent the Whole house you can easily park FOUR and could double park TWO more if you block the garage.
